Reminder: Periods 2, 4, and 7 must read text pgs. 747-752 and do #1-7 on 752 by Wed (3/23). Here is the link to Ms. Burt’s site for the textbook

Periods 1, 2, 4,:

-Collect WebQuest (except per 7 due Thurs)

-Warm-up: show farthest galaxy discovered by Hubble at hubblesite; use this to tie in sci notation (distance to galaxy) and types of EM radiation detected (from the galaxy)

-Quick review of sci notation from yesterday

-PPT on the Tools of Astronomy

CAPT: Math Supplemental Test

Class warm-up: show nasa pic-of-the-day http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html and discuss Moon’s distance at perigee (356,500 km) and apogee (406,500 km)…Use this to put big numbers into sci notation!

Sci CAPT part II today! All classes take the post-sci CAPT survey.

Assign Per 2, 4, 7 HW for next Wed- read textbook pages 747-752 and do #1-7 on p. 752 for Wed 3/23.

Per 7 begins the Light WQ (given out on Monday to other classes)…may make this due later in week for them.
